The JARCOM Practical Meeting 2008 in Bangkok, from 22 to 23 May 2008, participated by 32 participants from ASEAN member countries

     The JARCOM Practical Meeting 2008 was organized by the Regional Support Office for Asia from 22 to 23 May 2008 in Bangkok, Thailand. 32 member participated from ASEAN member countries, JICA Headquarters, and Timor-Leste, Also the meeting had observers from the Embassy of Japan, Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), and the AUN/SEED-Net Project.



     In total, twenty five project proposals from 7 countries were discussed interactively among the resources and beneficiary countries. What was worthy of special mention was that twelve projects out of them were proposed by Myanmar, which was regarded as a response to the JARCOM Briefing Seminar jointly held by FERD and JICA Myanmar Office early this year. In consequence, more than ninety percent of the proposals obtained positive result. The further formulation and elaboration will follow soon.
